May Inspiration by Debbie Burns

Hi everyone!  Debbie here with today to share my May projects.  I have three layouts using various Blue Fern Studios papers and products.

"Delightful"
I used three paper collections when creating this layout, Happy Accident, Garden Life and Heartland.  The background paper Fortuity is from Happy Accident.  I did some light masking and misting on the background.  I built up layers under the photo using additional papers from Happy Accident, Fluke, Lucky, Quirk and Windfall.  I did a lot of fussy cutting from In Bloom and Wallflower from Garden Life, and Bicycle for two and Love Song Serenade from Heartland.

Lots of beautiful flowers including Chesterville Florals, Apricot Blooms, Attic Charm Daisies and Moody Blooms.  I embossed the chipboard piece under the photo with my favorite Blue Fern Embossing Powder, Ivory and used a mixture of Sage, Green Ivory and Ivory on the leaves.

More layering under the photo with flowers cut from Garden Life and Heartland papers.

The chipboard title was covered with some pink spray and ink.  To the left of the title you can see more flowers that I fussy cut.

My next two layouts feature papers from the Wanderlust collection.

"Capture The Moment"
I used the Ocean Voyage paper for my background.   I used Calling Cards and Souvenir to build up layers under the photo of my mom and her family out on the lake.  I stamped with Tattered Newsprint, Grungy Grid and Forever stamps.  I applied some light brown misting.

In this picture as well as the one below you can see the Wanderlust Lilies.  I applied some Twig and Gold Nugget Seedlings to the lilies as well as the background.

The chipboard pieces on each side of the photo were embossed with Taupe powder.

The title was also embossed with Taupe Embossing Powder.

I altered the Wanderlust Lilies with some white gold paste and a light misting.   I misted  the Heartland Blossom with a touch of gold.

I applied some Gold Nugget and Twig Seedlings to the flowers and background.

Under the photo I used a piece from the Wanderlust Printed Chipboard.

May projects by France Ringuette

Good morning bloggers, It's my turn to showcase some fun projects made with various paper collections from Blue Fern Studios. Today, I'll be sharing with you, 2 cards and 2 layouts.

Project # 1 May Mother's day cards

Mother's day is just around the corner and I thought I would provide your 2 different cards that I made for my mother and mother in law.

First Card

For this card, I used papers from Homespun collection, Minis & Picturesque papers, Lace 10, Embossing Powders Cotton Candy, Flowers Christmas & Heartland blooms.

Second Card

For this card, I used the same paper collection, but added different elements like the use of the Honeycomb stamp set, 14 Karat Emblossing Powder, Barb's Medallion chipboard, Chesterville Blooms Flowers & Lace 4.

Layout #1: Cherish

This amazing picture was the inspiration for this next layout, my friend Brittany's daughter is just too cute for words in her peach tutu. I was inspired to use the Amber & Apricot collection for this layout.

From the Amber & Apricot collection I chose to use: Flora, Friendship & Tweet Melody papers

Under the photo I used the Amber & Apricot printed chipboard with a touch of colored cotton cloth. In my floral arrangements I used flowers from the Apricot Blooms & Harvest Lilies sets.

I decided to cut out the little bird and feathers from one of my papers to add onto the side of my picture. I love the softness it was bringing.

The Cherish chipboard is simply stained a bid darker for more contrast with the paper. You will also find under the Amber & Apricot flowers, an embossed image of the Weathered Doily Stamp in Baby Pink embossing powder.

Layout #2: Happy

I've had my heart set on crafting this beautiful picture of my niece with her family for a while now. When going thru my papers, I fell on Pacific Coast from the Wanderlust paper collection and knew that this was the perfect one for this picture.

I started by applying a coat of white gesso under my picture are to highlight the focus. Then added some touched of sepia stamping with the Remnants Collage Stamp Set

I used various papers from the Wanderlust collection to build my layers under my picture. I hear embossed in Breeze color the Happy chipboard title.

The chicken wire chipboard is painted in 2 different colors to give it an old look.

The last step was to stamp some flowers, add a few drop of white gesso, and there you go an old feel kind of  layout.

Layouts by Tartine Peluche that will make you feel in the spring!

Hello my sweet friends!
Today is very sad for me, this is my last day as a designer for Blue Fern Studios.
My life turns to change and priorities too. Don't worries, I feel good, but I have to take care of myself and all my family ... It's just a goodbye, I'll be back ...
So let me share with you my last inspirations.

====================================
My first one is:

*Perfect*
( Ombré Dreams, Leslie's dream )

I used Sunlight Rose to emboss the foliage chipboard under my photo.

I made this coral flowers by hand, from *Chesterville Floral*, one as simply heated with heat gun and the others are one layer of petal folded on itself.

Morning Sun make a part of my favorite colors of embossing powder.

I embossed all my chipboards with Ivory embossing powder.

*Life*
( Wanderlust, Road Trip )

m

This layout is the result of a big ink blunder on the first background. In seeking how to recover page, I had the idea of using the small format of the same paper as the background.
Here is the result or my error LOL

These days I have a great need for bright colors.
The blue flowers from Spring Lilies collection are so much PERFECT,
and combined with Summer Breeze embossing powder it's just WOW as effect.

I used Lace 3B to add some black under my first layer.

Butterfly is embossed with Summer Breeze.
